- I was brought on as a summer hire doing general labor duties. This work involved a variety of task for multiple trades throughout the command. I worked in the warehouse assisting in inventory and building shelves to help sort and organize our excess overflow. I’ve worked with the carpenters doing general duties such as demo, hanging drywall, and floor scraping. I’ve assisted the painter’s doing layout and line striping on roads and parking lots.
- The majority of my work has been done in the structural shop since that is where I report to. I have done general duties such as cleaning out mechanical spaces, washing vehicles, landscaping and hauling debris from the jobsite. I’ve also assisted the tile setters with scraping grout and prepping tile. I have been a team member on numerous concrete pours from start to finish. This includes concrete cutting, tearing out, graveling and pouring. Tools I have used are chipping hammers, jack hammers, general hand tools, saws. Leaf blowers and wheel barrels.

My duties included the removal of trash, furniture, damaged goods and materials to prevent further damage from occurring.
