Undergraduate Research Assistant/Trainee Animal and Human Relationships Comprehensive Assessment and Intervention Program (CAIP) Lab, UMD-College Park, MD Dr. Andres De Los Reyes (Jan 2020 – May 2021)

• Through the First Year Innovation and Research Experience (FIRE) Program, trained for roles in a clinical psychology study that assesses adolescent social anxiety and the dynamics of the parent-adolescent relationship in order to enhance clinical interventions
• Collaborated with peers to complete a research project and presented project results at an undergraduate research symposium
• Developed skills in SPSS for statistical analysis and BORIS for coding behavior, and read behavioral neuroscience and clinical psychology scholarly literature

• Shadow and observe physicians and other medical professionals in order to gain insight into the medical profession
• Dialogue with and learn from a variety of physicians as they, evaluate patients, update electronic medical records, and perform procedures while experiencing the dynamics of a hospital/clinical atmosphere
