Summary

I've done a lot of DIY type of things that helps me know a little bit of everything. I have experience welding for two and a half years in the field now and fabricate with steel and some aluminum. I have experience welding on things as thin as 16 gauge material and as thick as an Inch and a half. I'm certified in 2 areas. Both are 3G Vee at 1''. Those two processes are dual shield flux core and SMAW. I work hard and always willing to learn and try new things. I also have some experience working in carpentry and doing finish work so things look nice as an end product.

  • Welded in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
  • Inspected welds and checked critical measurements to meet specifications.
  • Fabricated shop parts directly from blueprints.
  • Welded with Mig and used push-pull gun on aluminum.
  • Built lots of sets for Newsrooms, plays, and other big companies.
  • Experience with plasma torch and oxyacetylene.

  • Welded in flat, and Horizontal positions using Dual Shield 1/16"and 3/32" wire.
  • I would set my machine up according to the welding parameters that were given and would pre-heat materials before welding if needed.
  • Welded according to blueprints with where to weld on beams and girders and how big each weld should be.
  • Used overhead cranes to roll beams and transport them.
  • cleaned and made sure each weld would pass in house inspection and by a 3rd party inspector.
  • I worked on a huge machine that built bridge girders that were going over the Virgin River.
