My competitive journey in tennis on a team level began when I was in sixth grade, playing for the varsity program of my K-12 school. From then until the time I graduated from high school, I won districts all seven years in singles and in doubles where I also had the opportunity to go to state, and win in doubles in the eighth grade as well as being a state finalist in the ninth grade.
After high school competition, entering college, I received a scholarship for both my JUCO (Broward College) and D1 University (Hampton University) where I served as Captain on both teams. During my first fall season at Broward, my doubles partner and I won the USTA/ITA Florida Regional Championship in 2014. In my 2016-2017 season, I was the Arthur Ashe Leadership and Sportsmanship Award recipient, voted upon by the entire region. During that same year, our team came in first in States, and placed eighth at Nationals out of about 36 schools.
At Hampton University, I won the All-Tournament first team #2 doubles in the MEAC conference.
Upon receiving my college degree, while coaching, I was also training to play professional tennis, and traveled to Mexico, Ecuador and Guatemala to compete in ITF tournaments.
