Summary

I am writing to apply for the position of Certified Nursing Assistant. As a recent graduate from Peninsula College, where I earned my associate in arts degree, CNA certificate and state license, and BLS; my experience as a waitress and CNA, I am confident that my skills acquired as a server and CNA, combined with my strong desire to contribute to a new healthcare environment, makes me a valuable candidate for this position. My passion for this field, combined with my respect for your company, make me eager to get on board. During my time in my NAC course and as a CNA at Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles on Med Surg and ER, I gained important skills such as sanitizing, patient care, monitoring health, and vital signs. In a high-pressure restaurant setting as a server and high stress setting in a hospital, I learned the importance of maintaining a clean and safe environment for both customers, patients and staff by consistently practicing sanitization protocols. I also learned of hospitality, teamwork, and time management. I believe my skills will be of value to your organization. I developed excellent communication and interpersonal skills and compassion while attending to the needs of customers and patients. These skills will be invaluable when providing care, comfort, and support to patients in your healthcare setting. I have experience with comfort care patients, post mortem care, psychiatric patients, aggressive and combative patients, upset families, and more. I have experience as being a sitter as I am needed. I work especially hard to get things done efficiently and quickly. In addition to my skills, I possess strengths such as compassion and empathy, serving well under high pressure situations, and being able to deescalate situations. Collaboration and teamwork have always been at the core of my work ethic. As a Server, I frequently collaborated with fellow team members to ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer service. As a CNA on Med-Surg and ER I frequently collaborated with my fellow staff members to ensure a safe and efficient environment for patients and their families. I am confident that my ability to work effectively in a team setting will extend to your organization, where cooperation and coordination are vital to providing the best care for patients. Furthermore, my strong time-management skills have allowed me to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of efficiency. I am accustomed to working in fast-paced environments. As a CNA, time-management is essential in prioritizing critical tasks and ensuring that urgent patient needs are met promptly. I am eager to contribute my skills, strengths, and passion for providing exceptional patient care to your company. I firmly believe that my ability to quickly adapt, learn, collaborate, and manage time effectively, will make me a valuable addition to your team. I bring a set of talents that I believe will be valuable. My collaboration strength, people-centric nature and eagerness to please have afforded me excellent teamwork skills.
