Coached grades 5 through 8 students to an undefeated season, winning the championship tournament and earning an educational trip to Accra, Ghana.

• Conducted weekly practice sessions with students to teach the fundamentals of argumentation and rhetoric.
• Provided individual guidance on speech structure, delivery techniques, research methods, and evidence analysis.
• Monitored the progress of each student throughout the season, providing feedback to help them reach their full potential.

As an Academic Interventionist ( or AI), I have Counseled and provided academic support to middle school students at Schulze Academy (August 2023- June 2024) and Bates Academy (August 2024-present). As an AI, I must ensure access to resources, learning opportunities, and personal growth for students.

• Assisted approximately 80 students in improving their Math skills through targeted coaching sessions held twice each week.
• Designed interactive and engaging lesson plans, catered specifically to the needs and abilities of preteen adolescents spanning grade levels 5 through 8, thus fostering educational growth within a small group setting.
• Participated in ongoing Professional Development workshops provided by the District.

City Year helps students and schools succeed. Diverse teams of City Year AmeriCorps members provide support to students, classrooms and the whole school, helping to ensure that students in systemically under-resourced schools receive a high-quality education that prepares them with the skills and mindsets to thrive. Key accomplishments:

• Collaborated with a partner teacher to enhance the reading/math proficiency of 18 students, resulting in an average improvement of 1.5 grade levels.
• Contributed to enhancing teaching practices by attending regular meetings for lesson structuring and analyzing student performance.
• Worked in coordination with partner teacher to successfully show an 80% increase in student reading iReady diagnostic results from Fall to Winter.
