• This RN managed patient care in the Emergency Room at this hospital, every spot from triage to med resuscitation. Patients illness in varying degrees and emergencies of different ESI were taken care of. This RN used skillsets such as EKG, lab draws, air lines, documentation, drip management, reporting of patient changes to physicians, chain of command (resident, attending, pcc/charge nurse) patient specific interventions, resources, and anticipation of interventions in order to take care of patients.

• At this hospital I worked Adult PCU, which included collaborating patient care with case workers, respiratory therapists, doctors, the ICU team, and families. I managed more long term or very ill patients; some including patients on drips such as amiodarone, octreotide and heparin, monitored the ekg rhythms via tele monitors, chest tubes, wound care management and prevention, patient advocation and intervention. I also managed the unit as a charge nurse, assisted with new grads as a preceptor, and stepped in to help coworkers whenever they needed whether that be a difficult patient, very ill or crashing patients, and anything in between.
