• Shadow case managers and manage a caseload of two offenders.
• Conduct office visits, enter CAPS, accomplishments, and violations in O-Track.
• Conduct regular center operations (e.g. count, pill line, transports, UAs, searches, video surveillance).
• Detect potential threats, and quickly defuse conflicts.
• Provide guidance to help residents adjust to their new environment, and develop the life skills needed upon release from prison. Serve as a role model for residents by demonstrating positive behavior and promoting pro-social activities.
• Collaborate with outside agencies, such as social workers, therapists, and probation officers, when necessary.

Utah State Correctional Facility

• Conducted regular facility operations (e.g. count, pill line, security checks)
• Directed visitor sign-in, documenting processes and completing appropriate visitation logs. Screened and escorted visitors.
• Supervised inmates during day-to-day activities and maintained daily logs.
• Enforced institutional policies and procedures to maintain order and security within the correctional facility.
• Interacted with inmates in an effort to reduce tension between them and maintain a peaceful atmosphere within the facility.
• Operated security control systems to monitor entrances, exits, and movement within the facility.
• Monitored video surveillance systems to observe prisoner activity throughout the correctional facility.
