Extremely eager to join the union apprenticeship, while attending Lineschool I realized this is what I want to do and be the best at it. I believe this apprenticeship will help me in that goal due to how well rounded it is.
Stage materials, assemble and frame crossarms switches, insulators, cutouts and hardware.
Perform Pre trip and post trip inspection of bucket and digger truck, make sure truck and coolers are stocked with hardware and drinks for next day.
Set up trucks, deploy outriggers and pads, spot trucks, place cones and flag traffic when needed.
Assist in setting poles, back fill holes, tamp and plumb pole; install anchors and guy wires.
Anticipate the needs of crew, preparing tools and equipment to hand to lineman.
Stack wood, paper, aluminum, and pipes in or outside of the warehouse using forklift.
Make sure cargo is properly rigged according to what we are offloading/onboarding.
Efficiently speaking with crew members to ensure operations are smooth and safe.
Inspecting cargo to ensure it is safe and ready to be moved to the target location.
Hand toss grain onto pallet in cargo hold for crane operator to pick up.
Forklift Operator-Restock lumber, garden soils, and polyethylene Pipe.
Customer Service -Assist with inquiries and ensure a positive shopping experience.
Loader- Hand load trucks or customer vehicles with mulch, garden soils, bricks, or lumber.
Stocker- Ensure the area is properly stocked and zoned.
