WORKGROUPS AND COMMITTEES

Team Lead for Unit Council: facilitated getting SaniWipe hangers in every room, changed the IV site change policy to prn and eliminated two RN checking of subcutaneous insulin (all based on evidence based practice).

Measureventionist: collected data and educated nurses. I was mostly utilized to work on readmissions, green cap usage to prevent CLABSI, and enacting the glycemic policy. I provided at the elbow education to promote the changes needed for better patient outcomes.

I was part of a readmission team and a safety subcomittee.

Currently working on a test of change for fall protocol to improve effectiveness and compliance.
