Several duties include corresponding with banks and appraisal management companies (AMCs) that are requesting real estate appraisals, and ensuring the high-priority deadlines are met. I help in processing the new appraisals into our system, including researching the property in its corresponding county. I also assist the appraisers in creating the final appraisal reports for both residential and commercial properties. Other job duties include billing, processing payments, and collecting on all past-due accounts, as well as answering multi-line phones.
Multiple duties include answering phones, closing and balancing seminars, and issuing continuing education certificates. I also worked in the editing department, with editing, printing, and shipping seminar brochures and manuals. During my time there, a new software system was implemented after a merger with an existing company. I played a key role in the transition by creating new and existing customer and speaker accounts, and helped with customizing the system to fit the needs of the company.
I developed strong customer service skills while working daily with high-end customers. As a server, I mastered great organizational skills and relied on my multitasking abilities. I would often work as the front of the house lead, where I would not only greet customers, but I had the duty of making sure they had an enjoyable dining experience. Often, I would be the closer, which would require me to close and balance all daily monies, prepare cash drawers for the following day, and pay out and balance all staff at the end of the night.
