Educational Philosophy

My commitment is to my students and their success in learning those skills needed to become both a better student and a better writer. My dedication as a teacher is helping my students understand the critical elements of writing and then be able to use their knowledge to write professional college level essays and research papers, as well as, all subject disciplines.

Instructional Experiences

My instructional experiences with Electronic or Technology based learning are with On-line instruction with WebCT (for which I am certificated), as well as experience using Blackboard, and D2L, and e-mail and chat tutoring. In addition, my experiences in the classroom are with the instructional methods of: problem based learning, inquiry based learning, cooperative learning, and lecture or direct instruction. All of which I have done in large group settings, up to 150 students, as well as with one-on-one instruction. My instructional experiences range from Kindergarten through college level English Composition courses and teacher training program
