The STICU at UCH is a 24+ bed unit that services the greater Denver area. As a level 1 trauma hospital and organ transplant organization, the STICU serves a wide range of patient needs including trauma, oncology surgery, transplant surgery, and vascular surgery.

• Care for ICU level patients
• Performed procedures: Chest tubes, Central lines, Arterial lines, Intubation, Bronchoscopy.
• Oversaw quality metrics relating to trauma outcomes

The position at the University of Colorado required monitoring 10 students at various levels of the AGACNP program through their clinical experience.

• Responsibilities include grading, lecturing, and simulation.
• Evaluated student performance through ongoing assessment, providing constructive feedback and promoting academic growth.
• Facilitated skill development through hands-on clinical training, reinforcing theoretical knowledge with practical application..
• Supervised students during clinical rotations, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures while promoting patient safety and quality care delivery.

The MICU at Denver Health was a busy 24-bed unit that served patients with cardiac, pulmonary, and general medical conditions.
