Escorts all non-cleared personnel, janitorial/maintenance crews, and contractors performing work in secure areas of the mission or other locations as directed by the supervisor to ensure that areas remain uncompromised. Secures worksite after completion of work by ensuring that all non-cleared personnel have exited the area. Prepares and ensures that all materials entering or being removed from a CAA have been inspected by designated security personnel. Participates in locally procuring items required for use within the CAA space, according to the randomized procurement methods described in relevant sections of the Foreign Affairs Manual. Assists in arranging for large items to be scanned in Frankfurt as needed. Assist with badging for new mission personnel in order to facilitate proper identification of staff and determine who must be escorted in CAA spaces.
I filled in as the RSO OMS, duties included badging new employees, answering the phones, entering the payroll into Win T&A, ordering office supplies, handling the VARs, making the weekly out of town list, entering the Duty officer email weekly, entering High side security checks and anything else the RSO team may need.
