Performs ultrasound, x-ray, fluoroscopy, and biopsies in alignment with professional standards, organizational mission, and national regulations. Reviews patient history and physician orders, educates patients on procedures, and administers contrast media when appropriate. Monitors patient condition throughout exams, ensuring safety and responding to changes promptly. Positions patients, conducts diagnostic imaging, and ensures high-quality results through analysis as needed. Assists physicians with interventional procedures including biopsies, fine needle aspirations, and localizations. Prepares and maintains equipment, selects appropriate imaging parameters, and performs quality control and troubleshooting to ensure compliance and safety. Oversees daily operations of the imaging department, enforces infection control protocols, supervises and trains staff, conducts annual evaluations, and fosters a culture of excellence in patient care and diagnostic accuracy.
