Teacher Responsibilities
-Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized -Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
-Provide individualized and small-group instruction based on students' academic, behavioral, and functional needs.
-Adapt curriculum, instructional methods, and materials to meet diverse learning needs.
-Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive classroom practices and student success.
-Assess student progress using formal and informal evaluation methods.
-Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, accommodations, modifications, and services provided.
-Implement evidence-based instructional strategies to improve student achievement.
-Provide accommodations and modifications in accordance with IEPs and classroom requirements.
-Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior support strategies and intervention plans.
-Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
-Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and educational needs.
-Coordinate with related service providers, including speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, school psychologists, and counselors.
-Administer academic and behavioral assessments as appropriate.
-Monitor student goals and adjust instruction based on data and progress monitoring results.
