• Assist providers in performing wound debridements, the application of advanced skin substitutes and wound cultures and biopsies
• Send culture and biopsies to the lab.
• Follow up with provider the results of tests/labs and contact patients to discuss results if indicated.
• Application of complex wound dressings, compression wraps and suture/staple removal.
• Educate patients and caregivers on proper at-home wound care.
• Case management responsibilities include entering home care referrals into Epic, ordering dressing supplies and working with insurance companies to determine eligibility of procedures and products.
• Order DME including hospital beds, wheelchairs, and offloading support surfaces online via Parachute Health
• Triage phone calls and inbox messages in Epic
• Refill prescriptions online per wound center protocol.

• Vascular and Plastic surgery Medical surgical unit
• Managed caseload of 6-8 patients simultaneously by providing bedside care, telemetry, treatments, IV therapy, and wound care.

Assisted nursing staff with daily tasks on Oncology unit.
