Diagnosticians facilitate the special education process on their campus. This includes but is not limited to:

• Guiding referral committees in making informed decisions regarding the assessment process
• Completing assessments and reports within timelines to support student placement
• Conferencing with parents to discuss assessment results and next steps
• Verifying PEIMS data regularly to maintain accurate student records
• Attending ARDs and ensuring completeness of all necessary paperwork.
• Coordinating communications with other districts for transfer students.
• Conducting student classroom observations/ observing classroom instruction (cum data, improvement, etc.)
• Serving as a liaison between Special Education and General Education
• Through collaborative consultation, problem solving with school staff, support personnel, and parents

• Identified students with disabilities through comprehensive assessments and evaluations.
• Completed necessary documentation for district compliance in special education services.
• Ensured adherence to district, state, and federal regulations throughout processes.
• Attended Individual Education Plan meetings and documented accurate minutes.
• Coordinated scheduling of IEP meetings to facilitate collaboration.
