A banking professional with more than a decade of experience in the mortgage finance industry who is seeking a position in the fields of reconciliation, quality control, auditing, compliance or risk.
Performance of quality assurance and control Audits on the Loan Reconciliation Analyst's and Default related processes. The goal is to minimize HUD audit risks on FHA loans- CWCOT, Part-B, PFS and VEGA.
•Perform audit consisting of review, analysis, risk assessment, and testing of sample populations.
•Perform audits on selected samples including, call recordings, data, documentation or other sample types.
•Perform audits to determine accuracy, consistency, error detection, omission of data/information, process and/or system gaps, etc.
•Ensure processes and samples reviewed are managed in adherence to internal policies and procedures, investor/insurer guidelines, and federal regulations.
•Ensure audits include required level of detail and are performed in a timely manner, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
•Create and maintain documents necessary to perform quality assurance and control audit process including, itemized checklists, reports, scorecards, trackers, etc.
•Actively participate in meetings with team and supported lines of business to review findings and remediation related to audits performed.
•Identify Areas of opportunity for application of quality assurance and control audit process, both in-line and post mortem.
•Gather and review further information, conduct additional analysis, research and testing as needed, including targeted reviews.
•Assist Supervisor/Manager in developing department job aids.
•Perform other related duties as required and assigned
Review completed loan files to validate that all required investor, insurer, and/or PennyMac guidelines were met in a timely manner (and therefore entitling PennyMac to financial recovery)
•Reconcile financial transactions to ensure maximum recovery for the company
•Seek third party recovery of losses, as stipulated in the reps and warranties of specific transactions
•Negotiate full or partial settlements with MI, Investor, or other third parties, as required
•Consult with various business units to identify risk or exposure to losses and develop procedural recommendations
•Perform work duties utilizing MS Access or Sequel database, including query design and execution
•Perform other related duties as required and assigned
