Provide appropriate staff training, consultation, and supervision regarding students with medical procedures at school. I train staff on how to administer medication and attend to basic health room situations, as well as consult with staff in these areas as needed. Train and consult with school staff regarding students' individual medical plans. Work directly with students, providing case management sessions to assist them in better caring for their chronic medical illness. Perform vision re-screens on student, and assist in getting glasses. Collaborate with the other members of the Student Support Services Teams at assigned school sto identify students with potential medical needs and improve student outcomes. Review field trip forms, contact parents, and advise staff on each student with medical needs. Assist with Public Health needs in the community, including working in the EOC, in emergency shelters, and at COVID vaccine clinics.

Supervised and assisted both front office and clinical staff with daily tasks, created monthly schedule for staff, responsible for ensuring office is CLIA and OSHA compliant, acted as a mediator when staffing or patient issues arise, performed weekly vaccine and supply inventory checks and place orders accordingly, collaborated at monthly meetings with practice owners, practice manager, and clinical supervisor at main office. Served as Vaccine Coordinator and ensure office is complaint with NCIP guidelines and agreement. Responsible for hiring and terminating of front office and clinical staff at Knightdale Pediatrics office. Served as Synagis coordinator.

Worked as a Registered Nurse in a clinic setting, while also acting as an advocate for my fellow nurses, assisting with vaccine and supply ordering, keeping track of newborn screening results on all new babies at the practice, and reporting blood lead test results to the state lab. Served as Vaccine Coordinator back-up.

Worked as a Registered Nurse in a pediatric clinic setting. Collected vital signs on patients, ran lab tests based on patients' symptoms and physician orders, documented patient information and reason for visit in EMR, provided phone triage advice to patients/parents, worked closely with physicians and nurses to provide quality patient care.

Completed leisure assessments on incoming patients PRN, performed quarterly evaluations, created monthly activities calendar, lead activities for groups of 10-25. Provided 1:1 visits for room-bound patients, planned and implemented community outings, collaborated with all members of the interdisciplinary health care team, developed a wonderful rapport with patients and their families, assisted with organizing a Family Council in an attempt to get families involved to help their loved ones have the best possible experience at RRNCC of Apex.
