Pre-K Instructional Coach
- Coach teachers to improve practices through differentiated professional development and modeling instructional strategies based on the gathering and recording of information using a coaching plan template to document teacher’s implementation of practices.
- Meet diverse student population needs by supporting the planning and implementation of lessons with a wide variety of teaching strategies.
- Provide on-site (via zoom during pandemic) embedded professional development through side-by-side coaching techniques, modeling lessons and use targeted teacher observations to enhance best practices in instructional presentation and delivery.
- Provide constructive feedback and on-site support for teaching practices for the purpose of increasing teacher confidence and competence.
- Develop a wide variety of materials (coaching plans, Creative Curriculum pacing guide, feedback forms, inventories, LETRS curriculum implementation pacing guide, etc.) for the purpose of executing and/or documenting activities and learnings.
- During 20-21 pandemic, supported full remote classroom teachers in tailoring daily instruction to meet the needs of the remote environment.
- Analyze student data to determine instructional needs and identify supporting research-based instructional strategies.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, colleagues and administrators.
- Respond to after hours email and telephone requests to provide teachers assistance with specific questions.
- Maintain detailed excel data files to track students learning progress.
