Harris' one woman show "Thingification" at The 11th Annual Fresh Fruit Festival. Created and implemented Kickstarter campaign strategy to successfully raise $15,000 within 30 days to aid in the costs associated with bringing the production to NYC from Chicago, IL. Managed a strategic planner and team of volunteers to streamline and execute a complex social media campaign in order to maximize our ability to attain our fundraising goal.
  • Theatrical Development Consultant - Dispatches From (A)mended America, Epic Theater Ensemble, New York, NY, 07/01/12, 11/01/12, Hired to work in conjunction with Above The Fold Theater Company and Epic Theatre Ensemble to create a funding strategy for a ticket subsidy initiative for the World premiere of the Off-Broadway production, Dispatches From (A)mended America that debuted in October 2012 @ The Theater @ the 14th Street Y in NYC. Duties included creation of sponsorship materials, implementation of a social media based crowd-funding campaign that successfully raised $10,000 to cover the bulk of the cost for the subsidy. Sponsorship procurement of either monetary or in-kind support for remaining associated costs to the production.
  • Co-Executive Producer, American Beatbox Championships, American Beatbox Association, New York, NY, 01/01/10, 03/01/12, Served as Associate Producer in 2010 and then as Co-Executive Producer 2011 for this popular annual event featuring the Top 16 ranked Beatboxers from across the country competing in front of a celebrity judge panel comprised of cross section of Hip Hop Legends including Rahzel, Jarobi White, DJ Johnny Juice, Kenny Muhammad and more. The event was held at Littlefield Performance and Art Space in Brooklyn for 2010 and then moved to NYC's famed Le Poisson Rouge for 2011. Coordinated artist lineup and venue booking. Procured sponsors raising over $10,000 dollars in monetary, media and in-kind support. Developed art direction and branding for all associated collateral and promotional materials, press placement as well as helping to develop and execute the production budget for the 2011 event. Oversaw all hospitality requirements for all participating artists and special guests.
  • Tour Coordinator / Development Consultant, Party People, Universes Theater Company, New York, NY, 01/01/11, 01/01/12, Served as the Tour Coordinator for the development leg of the production Party People based on the legacy of The Black Panther & Young Lords political parties of the late 60's & early 70's. Duties included coordinating an extensive series of interviews around the country to enable the company to sit down with former Black Panthers and Young Lords to get first hand accounts of their experiences within the parties. Oversaw the initial development of a companion project - The Party People Salon Series which is a panel discussion series focused on travelling to various cultural and academic institutions to engage a national dialogue about these movements (featuring many of the original members from both parties) and their value as it pertains to social change in this country and around the world.
  • KCA Black Ball Production Consultant/ Coordinator, Keep A Child Alive, New York, NY, 08/01/05, 11/01/05, Hired to serve as a production consultant and overall coordinator for this $400,000 gala; The Black Ball. The event took place at Jazz @ Lincoln Center in NYC as the finale to the Time Magazine Global Health Summit and featured performances by Alicia Keys, Bono, Usher, Paul Simon, John Mayer, Common and others. Responsibilities included coordinating the kickoff event/press conference for the Ball, overseeing all production elements associated with all printed promotional and décor items for the gala, served as a liaison between this non-profit organization, the venue and the other producing bodies. Coordinated the creation of a 28-page event brochure as well as a visual media landscape that served as a backdrop to the concert and was directed by Earle Sebastian. In addition, worked closely with the advertising team from TBWA/Chiat Day in the creation of all deliverable media materials connected to the 2005 KCA Global Celebrity Campaign, "Spirit of a Child", photographed by Marc Baptiste.
