Lead Medical Assistant working under the Operations Manager to assist with maintaining efficient patient flow and quality care during clinic hours. The position works with all Physicians, Physician Assistants, and Medical Assistants to provide comprehensive care in a nonjudgmental manner. This position assists also with training new and existing staff
-Ordering Supplies for clinics
-Tracking and keeping the supply rooms organized
-Removing Expired stock
-Train new MA/LPN on procedures
-Review the control logs monthly
-Review Vaccine log and inventory monthly
-CLIA testing Checklist for new hires and annually for all others
-Taking corrective measures for lab errors
-Update EMR (Electronic Medical Record) with medication inventory
-Bi-weekly MA meeting
-Once a month teaching topic- depending on the season
-MA schedule monthly
-Available to cover if a MA calls off
Internal medicine & preventive care
-Current working in a very busy practice 60 to 80 patients per day.
-Coordinate patient intake and triage.
-Coordinate with physicians and staff while assisting with diagnostic procedures including manual vitals,inhouse testing, injections, ekgs, prescriptions refills, pre-op for surgery, prior-authorizations,drawing blood as needed and calling patients with test results.
-Maintain supplies, equipment, stocking, and sterilizing instruments ensuring work cores and patient rooms are presentable.
-Hiring and Training new employees on daily tasks and clinic’s standard operating procedures.
-Answered phone lines, updated medical records, billing questions, scheduled appointments.
-Take inventory and manage medical equipment and tools.
-Manage the clinic’s internship program.

-Assisting with Annual wellness visit
-Front office work including computer skills as EPIC, electronic medical record EMR, answering phones, filing, paperwork
-Assisting midwives and doctors with vitals, urine dip, Gbs, pap smear, referrals, sonograms, translate, and preparing charts for the next day.
-Maintain supplies, equipment, stocking, and sterilizing instruments ensuring work cores and patient rooms are presentable.
-Check-out patients, assist with referral processing, and arrange laboratory service.
-Administer EKG, administer injections and phlebotomy.
-Assist physician with medical treatments, procedures, and exams.
Used communication skills to help customers with their questions and purchases. I was in charge of answering phones and welcoming customers to the restaurant.
