  • Designed and implemented RPG programs in every department - shop floor control (barcode), EDI, A/P, A/R, Controlling.
  • Emulated object orientation in RPG using service programs.
  • Used finite state machines to break complex tasks down to simple ones. My modus operandi was that an accountant should be able to read my code and understand it.
  • Successfully phased out all RPG applications when the global systems - though less functional or data driven - need to be implemented in every global region. Learned to program in VB.NET and utilized Power BI.

  • Created a data driven General Ledger program - creating reports from specifications vs hard coding.
  • The controller utilized my business training to know how to close a month, not need to do physical inventory due to accuracy, etc.
