• School Events Committee: Collaborated with school events team to organize school events, aiming to foster community engagement, promote positive home to school connections with families, and create memorable experiences for families, staff, and students. Orchestrated school wide events such as Earth Day Clean Up, Family Movie Night, and End-of-Year Carnival. Organized student and family events such math and literacy nights, Hispanic Heritage Month exhibition, Black History Month inventors’ showcase, and awards ceremonies.
• Attendance Committee: Collaborated with the attendance team to improve student attendance, address chronic absenteeism, and ensure students and families receive necessary support. Organized a system for monitoring attendance data, identifying patterns in attendance, and created strategies to improve attendance for students and families.
• Sit Stay Read – Animal Assisted Literacy Program: Collaborated with the program to have weekly visits to the school that allow students to interact with certified reading assistance dogs while participating in literacy centers and social emotional learning activities. Within the program students were able to learn how to be safe around dogs, while building positive relationships with animals.
