My motivation and ambition to pursue a career in interior design began at a very young age. Both my parents were connected in some capacity to art and design. My dad’s background as an engineer and my mom’s interest in design have both influenced my decision. I then became interested in watching shows, such as Fixer Upper, and learned to appreciate how transforming a home tells you a great deal about who you are and what you love. I was inspired by the quote,” The empty room is a story waiting to happen and you are the author.” A room’s ambiance can be transformed with you having the power to create change with visual appeal through an artistic mind. I believe that interior design is important because everyone should be able to say they love their home and that it represents who they are.
