Experience

  • Growing up as a missionary kid, I have experienced a lot through the years e.g adapting to change, meeting new people, serving God in new ways and so much more.
  • I am the oldest of 5 kids. I have been looking after my younger siblings from the age of 10.
  • I started officially babysitting from the age of 13 years. I would take care of my younger siblings and cook for them and play with them. They are 3 girls and 1 boy, the second born is 5 years younger than me and the last 3 are 7-year-old triplets. I have grown up always being caring, careful, vigilant, attentive and creative because of my amazing siblings, they taught me so many skills that I am using today.
  • Back home I was also an Awana leader at church. Awana is a christian children's ministry, which means, I developed my leadership skills and I learnt to be patient with others and kids.
  • I was also a residence monitor for a year at my boarding school back home, I had the responsibility of caring and watching over my friends. Being a monitor, I also had to always be aware of what was going on in my hall, I loved being a monitor that also taught me to care for a variety of people even when we are from different backgrounds.
