- Prepared the pools for tiling, including cutting pressure test pipes, un-taping skimmers, chiseling excess concrete, marking/chalking walls with a lazer in order to make sure the tiles are level, and nailing boards up on the chalked lines, and setting up strings above the boards to make sure the tiles are plum.
- If we are working with sheet tile than we would apply mud to the walls in order to keep the tiles plum.
- Mixed thinset mortar and applied the tiles to the walls.
- Mixed grout and applied it to the joints using a float.
- Once the pool has been tiled we would come around with concrete and apply it to the edge of the pool, preventing the plaster crew from damaging the tiles.
- After the pool has been plastered we would apply black sheet tile to the edges of the steps, tanning ledges, and race lines (if requested).
