I have spent nearly 6 years serving my community that I call home with the Bella Vista Fire Department. Chief Sims took a gamble in hiring me with no prior experience, still in class to earn my EMT license, and in need of obtaining Fire I and II. Since that time I have been driven to prove myself worthy of that investment he made in me. I have grown my knowledge and value to both the department and community by obtaining my Haz-Mat Technician certification, becoming a member of the departments Haz-Mat team, rising to the rank of Driver/Operator, graduating as Valedictorian of my Paramedic Class, and being trusted to fill in as Acting Captain when needed. Being a citizen of Bella Vista myself has made me passionate in doing my part in seeing that the Fire Department is one of the best in the area. I have worked hard to be a trusted, knowledgeable, and hard-working employee in preparation to take this next step in hopes of promoting to the role of Captain.
My role with the Bella Vista Fire Department has involved serving the public in mitigating any emergency that may arise for our citizens. This includes fire suppression, ALS emergency medical services, as well as public safety programs and education. Aside from striving to always provide the best pre-hospital medical care I can provide and always looking to grow my skillset in fire ground tactics and operations I have put an emphasis on community relations. My hope is to foster the wonderful relationship the Bella Vista Fire Department has with our citizens by promoting a professional but friendly and approachable demeanor to the public that has supported us wholeheartedly.
