In an online community for over a year now, I have helped run a gaming alliance that has involved some very real-world management skills. As the leader of close to 100 members at our highest capacity, I delegate various duties to different members of our leadership team, use project management for events, placements, and a very big cross-server migration for the entire alliance. I utilized budgeting skills when we needed to prioritize the alliance currency and inventory, even data analysis & reporting with Excel and Tableau to visualize various event participation for the group. We also collaborate with other leaders in our game space to make sure we play peacefully, resolving any conflicts and fostering discussions amongst the alliance leaders to help improve the gaming community as a whole at weekly meetings. These meetings are held via Discord and I have also picked up Discord Server Management skills in the process.
