- Plans and implements an effective school library program that meets identified needs and creates a library/media center environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity level and interests of students.
- Provides services and resources that allows students to develop skills in locating, evaluating, synthesizing, and using information to solve problems.
- Work with teachers to convey appropriate use of digital resources and schedule time in the library to teach students how to use digital resources in classroom.
- Drive expansion of library collections and programs in response to student and faculty needs and special requests.
- Engage students and educate teachers on the use of library digital resources, safe internet use, research and ebooks.
- Train teachers on implementation of new technology in classrooms.
- Administers budget effectively and efficiently according to priorities of the instructional program, the district's collection development policy, and the established business practices.
- Coordinate and manage all activities pertaining to the library such as book fairs, author visits, book talks, or specific literacy programming.
