After my high school basketball season, I was approached by my teammate's dad to see of I was interested in reffing. I accepted his offer, and I did a weekend's worth of training. After that I was a referee for a CNR league where I reffed three or four games on the weekends throughout the summer.
I was looking for some work because I needed to start making money, and my friend was working for this catering company. I asked him to send me his manager's info, and I applied to work there. I was accepted, and I worked there every weekend for five hours straight. I worked mainly weddings, but I also worked social and business events as well.
I am a college basketball player, and I work about 20 hours a week on it. I also balance school on top of that at one of the best colleges in the Midwest at Truman State University. I have been playing basketball since I was in second grade, and I have a love and a passion for the game that drives me everyday.
