Work History

Laborer

California Conservation Corps
Redding, CA
12.2023 - Current
  • Participated in trail maintenance activities such as clearing brush, making burn piles, and burning them.
  • I have worked with Cal Tans along side others to improve the highways by spreading mulch, weed heating/cutting back brush away from the highway with a chain saw.
  • I've cleared out drainages next to high ways so that the water has a place to drain into instead of it just building up on the highway when it rains making it more likely to cause an accident.
  • I've loaded the the work truck up with all the tools we would need for a job site like chain saws, mcleods, weed heaters, pitchforks, rakes, pull saws, dolmars, chainsaw chaps, and water jugs.

Laborer

Knauf Insulation
Shasta Lake City , CA
12.2021 - 02.2022
  • I swept insulation off the floor of the factory making sure it stayed clean.
  • I ran jet stream where I would stand in between two shoots and have to constantly pull bags over them at a very fast pace so the insulation had a place to go instead of just blowing out all over the ground. I also had to make sure the numbers on the screen were right so the right amount of product went into them.
  • Depending on how many batts of insulation went into the bag for the type of run we were doing. First I would place a bag onto the shoot, then I would grab how ever many batts from the belts that it said on the bag then I would place them into a machine that compressed them and blew them into the bag. I would then go take that bag and put it it stacks of 3x4 for a clamp truck to come by and pick them up.
  • I got trained for lockout tag out. I then got locks to be able to lock them out so be able to clean them out

Hod Carrier

Croxton Lath & Plaster
Shasta Lake City , CA
11.2020 - 10.2021
  • I loaded and unloaded scaffolding on and off the work truck.
  • I threw 60-80 lb sacks of stucco mix onto a mixer as im adding water and shovels of sand into it to match the ratio of the mix.
  • I would set scaffolding up, sometimes up to three stories high.
  • Erected and broke down scaffolding, ladders and other support structures for installations.
  • I always had to stay out in front of the people spreading the mud onto the walls making sure the mud boards were always full and out in front of them.
  • I would put tape around the outside of windows then I would take plastic and stick it to the inside part of the tape as im pulling it up in the window to cover the window.
  • Depending on how many the stories the house was i would have to go up a ladder with approx 75lbs of mud in a 5 gallon bucket on my shoulder to dump it onto the mud board.
  • I lathed houses

STEP 1 Nail weep screed across the the bottom of the house 2" to 4" inches above graded surface

STEP 2 Roll paper out across the wall while stapling it to the wall.

STEP 3 Cover the wall with foam board insulation and nail it to the wall.

STEP 4 Go down the wall with tape and tape all the cracks between the foam board insulation.

STEP 5 Roll chicken wire out across the wall while pulling it tight and stapling it to the wall.
