Summary
I have been in the fire service for about 5-6 years. I started at a small town volunteer department (Boston Mountain FD) and then really got into firefighting. I then decided to go to the fire academy and enjoyed it. I also got involved with a few other departments, such as the West Fork Fire Department and the Round Mountain Fire Department. I then decided I wanted to work part-time and transition to full-time; that's when I applied to the Johnson Fire Department. I started working for my dad immediately after high school. I then wanted to start running my crew, so l did. I ran a crew for about a year, during which I made some excellent improvements to the company, and now I oversee the entire company. My dad still steps in when needed, but I run a business with 10 employees, and it's been a great success.
