I think I would make a wonderful addition to the GHS Team because I bring 11 years of experience learning to be my own Parent Support, and I would love nothing more than to be a support to another parent who feels how I felt.

My oldest son (14) was diagnosed with severe ADHD at age 4, ODD, mood disorder, and is currently receiving services at the Flint GHS location. Since his first diagnose I have had first hand experience with 504 and IEP meeting, therapists, and mental health related hospital visits for him during a time when he tried to take his life. I also have a daughter (5) who was diagnosed with level 3 non verbal autism at age 2 1/2 and has been receiving ABA services at the Flint GHS Center for the last 3 years. Over the last 3 years I have completely engulfed myself into not only getting her the help she needs, but also educating myself on all things autism so I could give not just her, but my whole family a better quality life.
