Summary

Western Kentucky University student majoring in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mathematics. Currently involved in the Mahurin Honors college and possessing of a GPA of 3.8 Seeking Entry-level Mechanical Engineering Internship with knowledge Solidworks application. Trained in principles of part designing, file management, assemble creation. Highly organized, analytical and detail-oriented.

Work History

Catapult Project

ME176 Class

Working alongside members of my class, we followed the design process to create a function catapult that would adjust shooting height and range powered by our designed elastic mechanism. I headed the team in areas of design, maintenance adjustments, and documentation. Aspects of communication, time management, experimentation, critical thinking were exercised.

Solidworks Cone

ME180 Class

Of the many projects completed within this course, this part exercised abilities and techniques of revolution, extrusion, and free-hand sketching within solidworks. During this project, application in the creation of the drawing were demonstrated in the form of scaling, clear representation of measurements and viewing of completed part.

Spring

ME180 Class

Within this project, the use of pitch, revolutions, material specifications and spiral/helix extrusions were exemplified. In the process of creating this spring, i was able to learn alterations to future spring requirements and measurements. This project would lead into the future project of creating a telescoped axle with spiral cuts to allow bolts to be added and removed as needed.
