I started a swimming club at Diablo Valley College and practiced every day with about 30 members. We all discussed what we could do to swim even one second faster, and worked hard to create an environment where all club members felt free to share their opinions. As a result, we held a swimming competition with two other nearby community colleges and were able to win.
