Kris Dearing

I believe all students can be successful. I have many years of experience working with students to help them with their academic, emotional and social development. I have worked extensively with students with behavioral and emotional challenges. I meet with students individually, in small groups and in a whole classroom setting to teach and practice skills to help them be successful. I have many years of training and practice in classroom management, behavioral intervention, de-escalation strategies, counseling, problem solving, and teamwork. I believe that in order for me to continue to develop and improve my skills as an educator, I need to actively listen and collaborate with others. I am currently an advisor for Peer Leaders and Hope Squad. I am a member of our Leadership Team and Management Team. I have collaborated with others and written the behavior plan for our school. I have a passion for putting the needs of our students first and being a positive and safe person that they can trust. I believe that in supporting students to be successful, I need to continually support and collaborate with faculty and staff.
