Compliance Coordination
• Coordinates all health clearance requirements; ensure all faculty and students have appropriate EMR/EHR access, medical record clearance, completed background checks, mandatory education, etc. Responsible for ensuring that all health clearances and all orientation requirements are completed by student and reported to the appropriate agency. Create, establish and maintain all student documentation in database. Responsible for collating student compliance data and reports (tracked by software systems) for each semester to each agency by student.
Coordination of Clinical Placements
• Assist the Placements Advisor with identifying placement sites based on a variety of factors,
generally through interfacing with students and the community.
• Research clinical agencies (e.g. online, direct phone calls, directories) to collect information
used in the assignment of students to clinical experiences. May require the incumbent to drive to
clinical placement sites to serve as the liaison between the student, the agency and the Department of Nursing. Using the information collected, identify potential issue and concerns related to student placement and developing contractual agreements with certain agencies and provide this information to the Placement Advisor.
• Responsible for coordination of all clinical placements; may include off-campus visits to placement sites. Works closely with Placement Advisor and faculty who determine placements to place students in clinical sites. Serves as a liaison between the student and the agency.
Customer Service
• Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries, concerns and requests from clinical agencies, students and faculty. Establish and maintain effective working relationships
-with clinical agencies in order to ensure positive clinical learning experiences for students.
Coordinating Reports & Contracts
• Assists the Placement Advisor in collecting data regarding accrediting agencies, clinical agencies, preceptor qualifications, attendance at orientation, access to medication systems, etc
Maintains database and/or files with inforn1ation required by the BRN. This information will be used in all necessary reports submitted to accreditation agency.
• Initiates and/ or assists the ASCII/Lead Staff in initiating all agency contracts, as well as forms required for BRN approval. Tracks expiration dates for contracts; notifying University
Contract Services of pending expirations for agencies used for clinical placements. Identifies new agencies and obtains information required for the initiation of contracts; ensures that Placement Advisor is aware of any new or renewed contracts that are needed.
