I have been fortunate enough to be a homemaker for the past 15 years. When I was 27 weeks pregnant, in 2008, I went into pre term labor and was put on very strict bed rest. I was laid off from my successful marketing position as I was unable to fulfill my duties in the office. After my daughter was born, it was clear to me that I wanted to stay home and take care of my home and children. I worked part time jobs to bring in extra money and maintain some sanity outside of the house and they were very positive experiences. I am now prepared to take on a more permanent position outside of the home and would like the opportunity to work in the school district I personally grew up in and help support the growth of my community.
