Key Responsibilities:

  Perform comprehensive health assessments and physical examinations.
  Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
  Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and laboratory studies.
  Prescribe medications and develop individualized treatment plans according to state regulations.
  Provide preventive care, including wellness visits, immunizations, and health screenings.
  Educate patients and families on disease prevention, medication adherence, and healthy lifestyle choices.
  Coordinate care with specialists and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.

AGNPs practice in primary care clinics, community health centers, private practices, long-term care facilities, home-based care, telehealth, and other outpatient settings.

The AGNP-PC serves as a primary healthcare provider dedicated to improving health outcomes through prevention, early detection, patient education, chronic disease management, and coordinated, compassionate care across the adult lifespan.
