• Trauma Resource Nurse

-Receives all trauma calls from EMS and Mayo Flight crew and levels traumas accordingly to level of injury, mechanism, and vital signs.

-Coordinates medical resuscitations by activating appropriate level of care depending on type of resources needed: extremis, neuro deficit, stemi, and post code patients.

-Facilitates and coordinates different specialties for traumas per Trauma Surgeon and ED Consultant.

-Delegates and coordinates trauma team roles and responsibilities for RN staff.

• Flow RN

-Oversees and is the Team Leader of Intake, Garage, and Welcome area.

-Assigns beds to Intake, Garage, and Welcome patients, keeping the flow of the ED moving according to ESI level of the patients.

-Intakes, vitals, and assigns ESI level to patients when needed to help with surges within the ED.
