My name is Kristi Sallie. I have been out of the traditional workforce for some time due to complications from a surgery that left me disabled since 1999, and I therefore need to work from home. However, since the time that I became disabled, I continued my education and put my interpersonal communication and managerial skills to good use, which makes me uniquely qualified to handle the use of diverse computer programs, as well as troubleshooting issues. Just before leaving the workforce, I acquired three years of experience as a customer service claims representative at AAA of Michigan. It wasn’t always easy or pleasant telling an insured that they were at fault for an accident, especially when they say they have “No Fault” insurance. However, that being said, I made it my mission to make all our insureds feel at ease, and I assured them that they were the most important part of our company. As a result, our department had a very high rate of customer satisfaction and retention. I truly believe it is essential to include a consumer in the decision-making process, rather than dictating terms or being condescending.
