I began caring for my two nieces at age twelve, five days a week, while their mom worked. Even then, I would write out an hourly schedule of activities, meal and nap time. My husband and I raised two daughters, and I learned my love of teaching as I homeschooled them through their entire education. We lived a unique lifestyle that included living off grid, self sufficiently in a remote location. We embraced the Amish lifestyle and lived in an Amish community for two years, and then traveled by vehicle to South America when our girls were ages eleven and sixteen, where we lived in Bolivia for a year, running a restaurant together, as a family. Upon returning to the states, we found new direction and purpose in skiing, and made the move to Jackson Hole. Ten years later, both of our daughters are married, and we have four grandchildren.
Have worked for Reneye, of JH Nannies for eight years. She runs a top of the line nanny agency that is well respected in Jackson. My work with Reneye has consisted of plugging in with visiting families for short term work, as well as being placed with families for long term commitments. I have enjoyed meeting different families, and being adaptable to being in many diffent places and situations. I have been requested back by families when they return, which is testament to my ability to adapt and relate to children quickly, and provide a fun experience for them while their parents are on vacation.
I loved watching these two little boys for two years. From ages one and three years old when I started, to ages three and five when the job ended due to Covid. I was able to go through so many stages with them, and we were able to adventure: riding bikes, swimming, fishing, sledding, and regular visits to the park. I enjoyed the challenge of keeping up (and ahead) of these two little younsters.
I have the heart of an educator and love to be part of a child's growth and learning process I plan activities including art, outside exercise, baking, reading books, and good old fashioned playtime, encouraging imagination and freedom for self expression
