CPT Kristian Hill is a native of New York City, New York. He graduated and commissioned as a Military Police Officer from The United States Military Academy (West Point) earning a Bachelor's of Arts in Defense and Strategic Studies in 2014. He achieved his first Master's of Arts in Business and Organizational Security Management from Websters University in 2018. He achieved his second Master's of Arts in Government and Political Science with a focus in Security Policy from Johns Hopkins University in 2020 and published his thesis through the university that same year.

CPT Hill has served a year as a reserve police officer for the Wasilla Police Department and two years as a reserve Alaska State Trooper while stationed in Alaska. While stationed in Texas, he sought the same opportunity and served as a reserve police officer for the Austin Police Department for a year. CPT Hill is a graduate of two major metropolitan police academies and holds two state peace officer accreditations (Alaska and Texas) amongst several other law enforcement certifications and qualifications.

Serves as the Aide-de-Camp to the Commanding General (CG) of U.S. Army Japan at Camp Zama, Japan . Coordinates and manages the day-to-day operations on the CG's calendar in conjunction with the U.S. Army Pacific Commanding General's guidance and organizational priorities. Manages and updates the CG's engagement strategy across Japan and partner nations in the Pacific. Plans, coordinates, and executes travel in and around the Pacific Area of Operations. Works with the general staff to coordinate efforts across staff entities at the Army Component Command level. Assists the staff in planning and executing briefs to the CG.
Serves as the Aide-de-Camp to the Deputy Commanding General - Maneuver (DCG-M) for V Corps at Poznan , Poland . Coordinates and manages the day-to-day operations on the DCG-M's calendar in conjunction with the V Corps Commanding General's guidance and organizational priorities. Manages and updates the DCG-M's engagement strategy across 13 NATO and partner nations across the Eastern European flank. Plans, coordinates, and executes travel in and around the European AOR. Works with the general staff to coordinate efforts across staff entities at the Corps level. Assists the staff in planning and executing briefs to the DCG-M.
Commands two deployable Detachments in direct support of COCOM Commanders, FORSCOM, III Corps, 89TH MP BDE, and Fort Hood Director of Emergency Services (DES) composed of 77 specialized L&O Soldiers and 32 MWD teams. Provides direction, guidance and a clear vision that orients on a "Ready Now" mindset. Develops leaders of competence , character and commitment ISO current and future operational environment. Directs the training, deployment, employment and reconstitution for 7 specialized L&O sections and the largest and most deployed kennels in FORSCOM. Supports the Fort Hood DES L&O mission servicing a population of over 100,000 on Fort Hood.
Extends influence beyond the Detachment to shape the external environment with key leader engagements with local law enforcement agencies and external units on Fort Hood. Assistant Chief of Police on Fort Hood operationally responsible for the use of SRT, Community Relations , MWD assets, and civil-police liaisons. Serves as a steward of the Army's resources managing over $6 million in property.
Serves as the Training and Exercises Readiness Officer in Charge (OIC) primarily responsible for the development, review, and implementation of the Brigade's overall military training programs to include schools, land and ammo, digital training management, unit movement officer, and unit readiness for the Command. Identifies and recommends the training needs of the four subordinate Combat Support Battalions and their subordinate Companies by implementing training doctrine to ensure that the command readiness posture supports the lethality mindset. Reviews training programs of subordinate Battalions to ensure the highest training standards are maintained. Reviews training plans and EXEVALS of units assuming COCOM missions ensuring units are trained to standard and in conformance with COCOM training requirements. Develops and provides the most up to date training and doctrine guidance to the command and subordinate commands.
Deputy Provost Marshal and Antiterrorism / Force Protection Officer for a strategically located, forward deployed Area Support Group in Doha, Qatar. Responsible for base access, law and order, Emergency Management, anti-terrorism and force protection (AT / FP) across three fixed sites comprised of 2300 Soldiers, DoD Civilians, Contractors, and 22 tenant units in direct support of Operation Inherent Resolve.
Supervises the Provost Marshal's Office Force Protection sections that encompasses a PMO staff section, Fire and Emergency Services, Military Working Dog Kennel, EOD Detachment, and one Law and Order Detachment comprised of a total of 120 Soldiers, Civilians, Airman, and Sailors. Primary Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and budget officer for the PMO; responsible for the execution and oversight of more than 16 FP equipment contracts valued at $25 million of service, procurement, and maintenance in support of emergency services and force protection. Responsible for the Counter Unidentified Ariel System (C-UAS) mission across three fixed sites.
Operations Officer for the 545th Military Police Detachment; serves as the principal officer responsible for training, resourcing and readiness. Coordinates with the 673rd Security Forces Squadron staff, other military units, LE agencies, governmental and civilian organizations to ensure the highest quality police training is executed and recorded. Responsible for the maintenance, logistical, administrative, and fiscal management of a 45 Soldier Law and Order Detachment while also developing and implementing a logistical support plan which ensures operational readiness for wartime, contingency, and peacetime missions. Conducts police administration requirements specific to LE organizations. Develops subordinate leaders through an active professional development program, emphasizing coaching, counseling, and mentoring.
Platoon Leader for a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Hazard Response Platoon, responsible for the training, welfare, readiness, and professional development of 24 Soldiers and 8 NCOs in the concept of CBRN Dismounted Reconnaissance and Search and Recovery (S&R) missions; supervises maintenance and accountability of CBRN Dismounted Reconnaissance equipment and 14 wheeled vehicles in total value of $8 million; overall responsible for the planning, preparation, and conduct of peacetime and combat missions by providing realistic training, technical guidance, and advice on CBRN operations and hazards.
Platoon Leader of a Military Police Platoon in the 545th Military Police Detachment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division. Responsible for the health and welfare, morale, discipline, training and tactical employment of 15 Soldiers focused on installation level force protection functions focusing on installation Anti Terrorism, Physical Security and reports and analysis. Provides law enforcement support to Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson and surrounding communities. Additional duties include JP Holland, Anti Terrorism, and Physical Security officer.
