I started out working at a restaurant when I was younger as a server, I have always been a people person so nursing just absolutely fit. I moved to batesville in 2015 and had just had my second daughter when I decided to go back to work I had applied at the nearest hospital because at that point in my life I just needed to work. While working as a PCT/US I absolutely fell in love with bedside nursing and caring for patients. I decided to go to LPN school first for the experience and just kept going. I am now the clinical lead over 4 floors PCU and our med-surge departments I love my job however I think I need to branch out and have always been interested in traveling.
I am in the leadership team for our PCU (Stepdown ICU) and our 3 other Med-surge departments. I do scheduling/staffing, education, rounding on staff and patients. I do hiring/onboarding for our new employees, disciplinary write ups. I kept up with absences, handled patient complaints and assisted in completing Personnel Action Forms. I have many tasks as clinical lead.
