I started my nursing career in 2007. I was a nurse tech at providence hospital in Waco tx. The nurse tech position was for current nursing students at MCC. My job duties were basically nurse aide tasks but I was also allowed to do skills I had been checked off on in clinical. NG tube, i.v. starts, wound care. After graduating I worked in med/surg for a year in Waco tx. I moved to Decatur TX and worked in hospice nursing. I did home health RN case management from approximately 2013-2021. Currently I'm seeking a career in acute direct patient care, preferably hospital nursing/inpatient care.
