  • Assist physicians with bedside procedures including sedation, transesophageal echocardiograms, central line placements, intubations, bronchoscopies, cardioversions, and gastrointestinal procedures
  • Provide care for and monitoring for critically ill patients requiring continuous renal replacement therapy, intra-aortic balloon pumps, left ventricular assist devices, total artificial hearts and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation
  • Closely monitor patient hemodynamics using Swan-Ganz catheters to titrate IV medications by patient assessment and physician order Experienced with ultrasound-guided peripheral and midline IV insertion
  • Preceptor and resource for new orienting staff nurses and nursing students, Attend meetings for unit based scheduling committee, Train staff on placement of ultrasound-guided IV placement
  • Hospital code team - respond to codes when assigned to code pager
