Work directly with builders and clients with the goal of not only producing beautiful architecture, but designs that suit their needs but also their lifestyles and tastes. During the process, detailed architectural plans and elevations are created using AutoCAD. Assist in the selection of materials and finishes, ensuring aesthetic and functional coherence.

While in office, I assisted in all aspects of the construction of remodeling projects, from administration paperwork to design work. Design responsibilities include designing all projects, ranging from creating open floor plans in existing residences to designing large additions, including site visits for critical measurements, preliminary drawings to discuss options with clients, preparation of construction documents, and supervising all engineering and permit requirements. I currently work remotely for this company, doing their architectural design work as needed for projects, and preparing drawings for their structural engineer and permits.

Helped navigate clients through the process of a Design Build firm and all its departments. Starting with the initial design meeting, sketching out preliminary plans, preparing detailed plans and construction documents intended to be practical, aesthetic and conductive to the intended purposes of a design build residential firm. Proposed new designs and built 3D sketchup models of the exteriors of projects for client reviews. Began interdepartmental collaboration, as the firm grew from a general contractor to a Design Build firm. Incorporated a revised system of cost estimating to track all incoming bids for projects, ordering and further track the financial accountability of projects. Revised and built on an existing job scheduling calendar to include all the various moving parts of the design and construction process that suited the firms need. Assisted the Superintendent in the field with scheduling of subcontractor and vendor deliveries.

Involved in residential projects from inception to construction under the guidance of a principal architect. Responsibilities include site measurement and production of as-built drawings, development of schematic designs, design development, preparation of drawings for permit, preliminary structural diagramming for structural engineers, electrical and lighting layouts, interior elevations, product selection coordination, and writing of specifications for bid documentation.

Involved in every aspect of both residential and commercial projects under the guidance of licensed architects and project managers including site measurement and production of as-built drawings, development of schematic designs by lead architects for client meetings, drawings for permit, preliminary structural diagramming, writing specifications for bid documentation, and the completion of construction documentation.

Assisted in the restoration of timbers for historic structures. Participated in the design, preparation, layout of joint work, and fabricated necessary timber components for new residential frames.
