Versatile and dynamic, with a proven track record at Sweet Al's and Whole Foods Market, I excel in time management and creativity. Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly, exemplified by transitioning roles and mastering diverse tasks with a strong work ethic. Achieved seamless operations and enhanced customer experiences through exceptional organizational skills and a sociable demeanor.
As a barista, I am required to expertly create the beverage or food item that my customers are requesting while maintaining great customer service. Along with that, I clean and uphold the standards of how our coffee shop should look inside and out. Organizing and restocking are large parts of the job, as the space is so small. Along with making coffee, I am to prepare pastry items and sandwiches when they are needed to be refilled.
As our Whole Foods Market store was so small, produce team was in charge of taking care of the floral department. I took on the floral department almost wholly, selling flowers, watering, creating bouquets, reorganizing and cleaning. It was my duty everyday to check the quality of each plant and bouquet for mold or wilting flowers. I would also take on customers' personal orders including making a wedding bouquet.
While working at Whole Foods Market, I was expected to keep a clean and organized environment in the workplace. I began as a produce team member where I inspected fruits and vegetables and expiration dates every day to ensure food safety while also maintaining great customer service. I was later promoted to produce team trainer where I trained new employees on our team on how to maintain the same standards and culture we held proudly at Whole Foods Market.
This job requires a lot social skills and quick-thinking, both of which I have fostered throughout my employment. Organizing closets and pantries, keeping the main kitchen and its appliances clean and ready to use, and managing time to meet catering deadlines are mandatory parts of this position; learning a wide variety of recipes and cooking techniques come with the job as well. We did not close during quarantine as we were an essential service, and I was part of the team that quickly adapted and continued to work through 2020 to cook and deliver meals.
As a stylist, I interacted with customers personally to answer questions, offer suggestions for stylistic combinations such as clothing set options, and cultivated an organized and unkept environment with the shop. Spacing hangars, making customers feel comfortable and heard, styling outfits including shoes and accessories for advertising, and maintaining a professional, but personal, social media presence were all included in the position as well.
While working at Whole Foods Market, I worked hard for a year to earn the produce team trainer position while also maintaining the floral department at the same time. I worked towards their expectations and went above and beyond to earn the accomplishment. Just before this, I had earned team member of the month of December.
